FENWAY BOWL


OVERVIEW: Launch a new college football tradition at Fenway Park in 2019. The Fenway Bowl, in partnership with ESPN Events, required a visual identity that felt iconic, recognizable, and connected to the stadium’s history while appealing to fans, broadcast audiences, and sponsors.


ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directed the creative vision, led internal brainstorming sessions, pitched concepts to management, and executed the final logo and branding system.


PROJECT APPROACH:

  • Explored sketches and typographic treatments to balance collegiate energy with Fenway’s historic character.

  • Incorporated Fenway Park elements such as the Green Monster and the iconic Press Box facade while keeping the logo bold and legible across TV, merchandise, and digital platforms.

  • Tested multiple badge shapes, color palettes, and font styles with internal teams and refined based on feedback.

  • Developed a flexible visual system adaptable to annual events and merchandise.


PROJECT OUTCOME:

  • Delivered a versatile logo and branding system that launched the Fenway Bowl as a new sports tradition.

  • Successfully applied across broadcast, merchandise, and social media, and featured on a limited-edition Samuel Adams beer can in the Boston area, giving the identity added cultural visibility.

  • Earned strong internal and partner praise for clarity, memorability, and adaptability.
